I sure know what everyone is saying about 'not enough room'! I've gotten to the point of potting up new arrivals in the spring and making room in the fall by donating a bunch to our annual club sale. It's hard to say goodbye to them, but harder to not get any new ones. Plus I've got to make room for selected seedlings too...... Definitely an addiction.

I think my favorite reds are mostly spiders/UFs. Here are 5:

GREAT RED DRAGON by Jamie Gossard. First year to bloom here, but great clear color and fantastic green throat!

RED SKELETONS by Curt Hanson

SPRINGFIELD CLAN by Jane Trimmer. Huge bright red blooms on a big healthy plant!

TAIL FEATHERS is an oldie, but a great performer and I love how it twists and curls.

WISPY RAYS is just a really neat bloom. And I love watermarks!

That Wispy Rays is beautiful. It is one I don't know much about. Gonna have to do some searching, and maybe put it on my ever growing wish ist

Guess I'll date myself too as I loved watching Red Skelton as a child too. Here's the info about WISPY RAYS Jan.

Wispy Rays (Joiner, 1998)
height 36", bloom 7.5", season M, Rebloom, Evergreen, Tetraploid, 18 buds, 3 branches, Pompeian red with ginger watermark and yellow green throat. (sdlg × Ruby Spider)

It's an evergreen, but seems to do pretty well here. Hard for me to judge it's performance as it's growing under a sweet gum tree which is hard on all the daylilies--lots of tree roots. Hasn't multiplied much, but does bloom and I love the blooms! So many of my daylilies are forced to compete with tree roots, vinca and other perennials but I can't seem to cut back on the number enough to give them all choice spots. And I really do enjoy the shade from the trees in our hot summers....

Note that the daylily is Red Skeletons not Skelton.
