And sorry about the fridge! Mine is getting up there and the price of new ones is a heck of a lot more than they used to be. Thumbs down

You're definitely right on one front, Leslie! It was painfully expensive. I sure hope you're right on the second front, too!!

My dishwasher has been making horrible noise for over a year now. I keep giving it a friendly pat every now and then -- and encouraging it to "hang in there".

Appliances are outrageous!!!

I was hoping to replace the refrigerator early this year...until the sprinkler time went out, and we discovered 6 sprinkler valves leaking, and had trouble with a pool pump, and needed extra help with getting the weeds under control...and, and, and Sticking tongue out Thumbs down !

I sure hope the refrigerator can hang in there a little bit longer!

Appliances are expensive. Luckily we got ours replaced with a more energy efficient one from the electric company. Don't own a pool or sprinkler system (anymore). So don't have to worry about replacing or maintain any of that. When there was a watering system is was a nightmare to keep up cause the desert heat would wreak havoc on the pipes.

Sure hate hearing water woes from dishwashers to sprinklers!! We're dry country here, so I just put in a sprinkler system. I hope that wasn't a 4K mistake for my someday flowers!

Good, Lucy! You make me think I should go see what I can steal from my old one!

Crisis today. It's dripping, soaking, totally drenched here. I planted all of my brand newly purchased plants yesterday in their brand new well-amended beds. Now the poor babies are drowning in puddles. I may have lost them all.

Just pull them out of the muck, spray them off, add more soil, and mound each one a bit when you replant it. They are tough enough to survive the bath if you don't wait too long!

That's a great idea, Leslie. I'll do that as soon as I can get outside--I'm hoping it clears in an hour or so. Thank you for the suggestion!!

Ordered a few TB for this summer.

Dipped in Dots
Strut Your Stuff
Bewilderbeast
Infernal Fire
Squid Squirt
Insaniac

Hope to make room for some more. Crossing Fingers!

Well I decided I wanted some Standard Dwarf Bearded iris for my rock garden so I ordered from Breezeway the following:

Big Blue Eyes
Bad Boys
Quail Hollow
Spiderman

That will most likely be all for this year.

I had the expensive lesson that when you need to replace a built in oven, you need to hire a contractor to adjust the cabinets. Unlike the dishwashers that I have replaced, they don't seem to come in a standard size. I had to wait until the new one was delivered and then have the old one removed. The contractor had to measure the space and shape it to fit the new appliance. Yikes!

This expense on top of a large hillside landscaping project that was completed just before the oven died, limits what I can order this year. So far the only thing I am sure I'm getting is Batik. I lost it due to carelessness some years ago. I divided and replanted too many at one time and mislabeled some rhizomes. I accidentally gave my Batik away to a friend. My garden is very small and I intend to replace Stepping Out which has never bloomed for me.
