The thread "Bird photos - May 2016" in Gardening for Butterflies, Birds and Bees forum

Mika suggested that I post this picture here as she saw it on another forum. I have just gotten a new camera and was out trying it on a few things and decided to zoom in on a mother robin sitting on her nest. I was astonished at the clear detail that I got from about 10 feet away. Of course if you expand the picture you get to see what I mean my details. She's nesting in one of my Apricot trees, so I will be watching and trying to get pictures of the progress and development of the babies when they hatch. With this neat zooming capabilities, I should be able to get pictures from a distance and not have to disturb them.

Woops not I see I put it in the April thread, I wasn't familiar with this forum. Oh well.

Some of us are still watching, Tom. Wonderful shot of mama robin there. But do go ahead and post it in the May thread as well so more people will see?

The camera I got is a Canon SX 610 HS It's known for it's zooming abilities and videos.

I sure does a great job! Thanks for posting what kind it is.

That's a great photo Tom, I'll have to look into that camera as my iphone doesn't zoom at all.
