I've had 'Lakeside Elfin Fire' since 2007. This mini has leaves that are white with green speckling. Dark green margin. Petiole red at the base. It grew quickly when I had it in a pot. Then I got the idea of making it into a border and that did not work well with this hosta. It's still in the ground, but has been gathered back into a mound. It's a hybrid from ‘Little White Lines’ and another seedling of Mary Chastain. It sometimes has a tendency to revert to solid green and you'll see such an eye in my May photo. By the end of August, it had pretty much succumbed to slugs. Please feel free to share your photos of this hosta.

I have ot had much luck with this one. The plants I have purchased were beautiful. Both have steadily declined when planted in the ground.
