Thanks all for the compliments on my new garden shed/greenhouse. We are starting to get cooler temps in south Louisiana and I should have it complete in a few weeks. I am adding shelves and painting the interior. I am using the same colors as the exterior. The next part is throwing away all the useless junk I have accumulated over the years. Some will be incorporated in the new shed, some thrown away. I will post more pictures when I am complete. Again thanks for all the compliments.

Love these sheds!

My greenhouse becomes the summer shed after the plants overwinter then vacate. I use plant shelves to store bags of various soils and additives that will be used throughout the spring, summer, and fall. Here is a pic of the sunset reflection that only happens in the spring. It's my favorite time of the day/year to sit inside the greenhouse and contemplate my navel .

Here are some recent photos of my garden shed/greenhouse, it served it purpose for the winter somewhat. My cactus plants made it through ok but the tropicals suffered. I know I have to bring them in for the winter. We had a colder winter with a day of snow which didn't help matters. I also included an inside shot showing the clutter: I am not totally organized but I now have a place for most of my outside stuff my to the delight of my wife.

Thanks for your compliments, I have more work to finesse the inside of the shed. I will be adding more shelves and antique bottles and relics. I have more "clutter" in the attic that needs to see light of day. It is really an on going project that will never have an ending as I am a collector of lots of different things. The one thing that I am really happy about is that I have a place to start my seeds, it is really convenient.

Wow each one has a design looks really lovely to spend a few hours in every day. Colorful and so neat and organized. I'd be too embarrassed to post mine. It's a mess right now. The battle of repotting plants is taking over & every surface is covered in soil, rocks, pieces of plant debris and a few bags of preying mantis eggs warming up to hatch.

This is our Japanese Tea House, (we call it the tea-shed) I built it thirty years ago, (but this is a 2017 photo) and other stuff to compliment our Koi pool
It's still in excellent condition despite being built of soft wood, but it is up on brick piers so the sides don't touch the ground and I paint it every other year.

These are the concrete Japanese lanterns I made, which light up. They're about 4' 6" tall.

This the six-foot pagoda I made, as authentic looking as I could get it in concrete. The balustrade rails are painted hardwood.

After the last tent died...again from a sudden snow squall at night... I saw this pictured in a local e-newspaper article. The tin roof should shed the wet snow, and maybe put rain in the rainbarrels. Hubby now stays dry when he goes out for a cigar. Not sure if its far enough from the house though Hilarious! great space for bird watching...lots of windows (most open) .

Jeanne,
do you put all your garden ornaments inside your shed in the winter?

I was out trying to do some spring prep work a week or so ago and almost could not get into my shed Smiling

Cinda, that does sound like my shed also. I don't pick up everything but I do most. This last year I put a lot of potted Iris in it set up on card tables to try to over winter them. I am terribly afraid that some of them did not make it through the winter. I was hoping they would be protected enough inside the shed from the bitter cold but when I checked on them last month, many of the rhizomes were soft and looked dead. I can only hope that some of them made it through the winter.

Some real nice garden sheds. I really like garden sheds. I think they do so much for the landscape. Here is a picture of mine. We built it in 2013 as a chicken coop, but only kept chickens for 3 years. Now, it is our garden shed that we use mainly for garden tools and supplies.
