I bought this a few years ago when I needed something to make our mailbox post look better. I planted it at the base of our mailbox in sunny, hot Scottsdale, Arizona. The surrounding area is a graveled area with other cacti and succulents. It is on a dripper that runs once a week during the summer heat. It performed beautifully, blooming full time during the hot summer, and into the late Fall. During the winter it dies back a bit as we do get some frosts and freezing weather. When Spring comes, a quick haircut gets it right back on the blooming track.
