It's been raining here for over two weeks straight and this clematis isn't very happy about it. This noid was healthy until it was transplanted a couple of years ago. Last year it didn't bloom very well and I was hoping it would return to its glory this year.

It has blue-purple blooms similar to jackmanii and is a tall climber, reaching over 7 feet.

Should I treat it with something? Replace it with another clematis? Replace with a different vine?

I'd give it a few more weeks, with sun, to determine what you want to do. My husband's oldest daughter lives in MD and told him yesterday she's had 18 straight days of rain!

The sun should make the clematis leap into growth and bloom.

You could try sprinkling Epsom Salt on the earth, along with granular rose food, but not much will happen until you get sun.

Thanks, Arlene, I'll give it some time to recover.

Yes, we've had a record streak of rainy days, but it's actually SUNNY right now! I need to get outside and get more gardening done before it starts raining again later today. Thumbs down
