I have a mystery here today. My Radermachera kunming "Dwarf Tree" Jasmine is blooming and there is NO fragrance. Where has my fragrance gone? Here she is
Thumb of 2011-09-24/JB/ffe0f7
I purchased it as a fragrant plant from Logees and I would have sworn the first blooms had an odor. But this one does not. Oh well, live and learn. Maybe as it gets older it will. Lets hope so. I am over my cold, and I have Star blooming and I can smell that.
Does anyone have any suggestions as to why this plant is not putting off an odor on its blooms? Has this ever happened to anyone else. Logees usually do not mismark their plants.

Hello JB!

Do you have any updates on your Radermachera Kunming "Dwarf Tree" Jasmine? Was the fragrance issue ever resolved? I'm all ears!

I thought I was getting senile since I am 90 years old now because I did not remember having written the post regarding the Dwarf Tree Jasmine. I then noticed the date was 2011 and felt a great deal of relief.

To answer your question, I checked my records and am unable to find any specific notes regarding the fragrance. I must say, the plant is no longer here in the greenhouse or house and I can not remember what I did with it. I can tell you for sure, If I had liked it and the fragrance there would have been notes stating what I was thinking.

I keep a page in a journal for each one of my plants. I find it easier to refer to than to keep the info on the plant list. I can also carry it to the greenhouse to keep it up to date with my thoughts. I am sorry I can not answer your question. I still love the "star" or "royal" jasmine when it comes to fragrance.
