Your above photo is because of lots of sun exposure. You can see that it is actually taking on some color. Not actually a variegation.

My photo is when I first got the plant, it was not grown with sunlight exposure. Here is another photo of it with the leaves elongating and showing some coloring. In the photo you can tell it was not getting direct sun, thus the lack of the coppery colors.
When it bloomed, the bloom was correct for this plant.
