I've only had this plant since the spring, but almost as soon as it started growing, it sent out this little yellow shoot. Each leaf has a very feint gray-green splotch along the center vein. Very pretty - it even has a few flower buds on it!

Carter,
That is a very nice Variegated plant and I really like the yellow/chartreuse plain leaves which have been produced. I believe that these leaves can emerge like this and change as they become older, much as the others with ore distinct differences in color. Not seen this type before.

This type is quite common now w more white than yellow/chartreuse.

Do you find it will take as much sun as others?

Thanks, I really like the chartreuse color in the leaves, too, Rick. It does seem to be happy with a lot of sun. I have it with all of my others, right along side them. Now, the yellow/chartreuse branch does get some coverage from the main "normal" variegated branch in the third pic, but otherwise it is in near full sun. In fact, I moved it from a more shaded spot because it didn't seem to be completely happy and was losing some leaves.

The plant has 2 separate scions, and the scion the yellow sport (you're right about it being more chartreuse, but that is too long to keep typing!) is sprouting from almost died before it leafed out. I just left it alone and soon the dieback stopped and it popped several buds (definitely above the graft). The other taller scion has done fine the whole time. Once I moved the plant to more sun it started doing much better overall. I'm hoping the flower buds will hold - it'll be interesting to if the flowers bloom the normal color or if they will be different, as well. Oddly enough, only the sport has formed buds. The rest of the plant is growing well, but didn't bloom. I think I read that A. somalense blooms in the winter dormant phase when it is leafless, tho, correct? If so, it's particularly odd that the sport would bloom.

By the way, I really like variegated plants. I have 6 variegated adeniums, 3 of which are the same unknown grafted pink flowered variety I found locally at Home Depot. The other 3 are all different varieties - including this one pictured - I bought off of eBay from Thailand. I'm thinking next year I may order a few from Rinoa (Orient Adenium?) who you guys seem to really like.

I do love the Vaiegated, although they seem slower growing. This is fine w mine, becuase I really do not care if they get large.
Rinoa has good plants and some nice variegated plants. I have received some from Anucha from Thailand and he has some cool ones occasionally. He has been around for quite some time and very reputable.
These are grafted plants I received from Warunee of Thailand (no longer selling).

Nice! One of my variegates is supposed to be a double red I think, but I can't remember the name off the top of my head.
