I hope this is the right place for this post.

I have been enjoying the multi-plant pictures and have put up a few of my own. Is there a way they can be labeled (optionally) with the date of the photo, location, and a caption like regular database pictures? I see the possibility of starting a thread about the photo but it strikes me as easier to allow us to leave the data and a few words to explain the picture. Has this already come up somewhere that I missed?

Another thing. It has not been easy for me to label all the plants in my multi pictures. Typically what happens at least 50% of the time is I get an error message after I draw a box and provide the ID. The box does not get created. It's not because it's too small or completely overlaps another box. There's absolutely nothing I can identify about the way I'm drawing my boxes (in Safari). In fact I have been surmounting the problem by repeating until it works. Which is fine, not a big deal, but is this a known issue?

I have had that happen to me twice in the last few months.
Having data with the multi-plant photos sounds interesting. Waiting to see what comes of this thread.

I'm also curious as to why they're called "Landscape Images" in the newsletter but not on the site. They're the same thing, aren't they?

The only way I can think of to label the photo for use as a Multi Plant photo/Landscape Image is to save a copy of the image with the date/location, then use it as the basis for posting.

Once you have the data on the photo (lower left corner here) you can proceed with the Multi Plant labeling.

I haven't had your second problem.

It is simple to start a discussion about your (or any) multi-plant photo, and I would like to see folks do this more often. Directly below the photo is a box with blue writing, and under that is an option to start a thread to discuss the photo. Maybe it does not immediately show up on smaller screens, and you may need to scroll to get there. It would be very helpful if the original poster would use that option to begin a discussion with some basic information about where and when the photo was taken, what direction it is facing, whether it is in sun or shade, etc. Others could then just join in. Easy-peasy.

Perhaps 'Landscape Photos' will replace 'Multi-plant Photos' in the upcoming new roll-out. I'm sure there are lots of small details that will take some time to coordinate. Patience is a virtue...

I think this is a question for @dave . I know about the comment option but I'm looking for a way to label multi-plant pictures like single plant pictures in the database are labeled, so the date and location appear on the page near the image.
