I have over 300 of these in shallow trays. I've started potting the rooted ones in 2" pots. I have way too many of these and would love to find them some homes. Contact me if you're interested.

Hi Dee

I'd love a few. Octopus Agaves are one of my favorites! Lovey dubby
I have two presently and I love them. They are so pretty, grow fast, are what I call 'user friendly' and best of all they shake, bake, fry and won't die when it is 110+ where I'm at.

So, yes....I'd love a few. Reply here and we can work out the details.

Thanks for offering them up. Thank You!
AG

Got your message. They are two big for the small priority box but depending on how many you would like I can probably find a box to get them in. Don't really think they need priority handling.

I apologize for not having gotten back to you sooner. It wasn't intentional or rudeness on my part. I honestly just 'forgot'. *Blush* I hope you'll excuse me for that.

Anyhow......I was hoping you could post a few pics for me and I could make a decision in terms of quantity. How big are they? I'm fine if they're 'good sized' as this makes it all the easier for them to thrive here. I really would like some of your bulbils, as this agave is an ideal plant for my climate and sun, the 2 I have a going gangbusters----and I like it!

And of course I'll pay you for the shipping. Thumbs up No worries there. We can talk about that.
Thanks,
AG

I'll try to remember to get the pics tomarrow. I'm planning on putting some on my local Craig's list, and maybe even Ebay. I still have sooooo many and I've given to all the local nurseries. I have some still in 2" pots and some in 4" pots. I could probably just send you what ever I can get into a medium (shoe box size) flat rate box or for that matter maybe I can find a box around here I could send 1st class and save us a little $. It depends on how many you have room for really. I'll get the pics tomorrow and post them here.

Hi Dee. Smiling

No worries.
Isn't there a $5.00 flat rate shipping fee or some such thing on certain size boxes at USPS?
You'll have to forgive my fuzziness as it has been a long time since I had to mail a package.
Post the pics when you can. No hurry.

Have a great day.

Unfortunately I think these are too wide to go into the $5.00 flat rate box but I may have a box big enough to hold three that's just a little larger than the flat rate box and will probably be about the same postage. I also have some shoe box size boxes that will hold 4 to maybe 6, who knows maybe more. Don't know how much it would be, no more than $10 certainly. Anyway here is a pic. Some are in 2"x2" pots and some are 4"x4".

Hi,

The ones in the 4" x 4" pots are looking good. I'd only need about 3 or 4 max. If you want to send a few let me know. We can either do a $5.00 flat rate ship or maximum NOT to exceed $10.00 in shipping. Is that o.k. with you?

Hmm.......
I swear the mentality is if it isn't broken then let's break it beyond repair. D'Oh! They had to go an ruin a good thing.

O.K., so can you find an appropriate box and send me however many plants you think is appropriate (4" x 4") that will come out somewhere around $10.00? I won't go crazy if it is a few pennies over but would honestly prefer to stay at $10 and under.

It does seem like the prices go up at least twice a year. What a pain!

Hi.........

My husband surprised me today. He is off and he's taking me shopping for plants, soil and a new hose . Lovey dubby Hurray! Awwwwwwwwww. That's so sweet of him.

If you got things together already I'll take some of the plants. If not, I'll take a pass. I feel terrible if I inconvenienced you. *Blush* Let me apologize for that, as it was not my intention and I did not want to do that to you.

Thanks,
AG

No worries, if you change your mind I'll have Octopus Agaves for some time. I think I'm going to put an ad on Ebay and see if get any takers. I hate to start tossing them. Maybe Craig's list too, LOL. On second thought the green waste barrel may see some of them I have like 200 left and they need transplanted!

Dee....
I feel bad. *Blush* Sorry, again it wasn't my intention to inconvenience you. Did you think about just dropping them off at a nursery? A lot of people do that. That's how I got my 2 originally. They had a kazillion of the pups and were selling them for $5.00 each. Mine were about 8" tall when I bought them. I'm sure whoever donated them didn't make money, but at least the plants lived and all of them got homes. Hurray!

Keep up with me and let me know the status of the plants for next month. I may ( Crossing Fingers! ) be able to take some off your hands then. Can't promise but I can hope things are kind and I have a little extra wiggle room next month.

Have a great day.

Yeah I actually donated a tray full, like 150 plants to a local wholesale nursery. If the owner is there she lets me pick out a few plants in payment, that's nice. I also donated to a nursery that hires mentally handicapped people and trains them to work retail. I've called a few others to ask if they were interested. I think I'll plant a few more in my own yard. I could become "Dee Agave Plant", that's my version of "Johnny Appleseed" and plant them on the side of the road, LOL.
