Looks like the PNW will be a bit wet and blustery, good day for hunkering down by the fire. Have a lovely feast, enjoy your family and friends, laugh, talk politics or not (some can do so, others not so much), and eat pie.
I want to live in a world where the chicken can cross the road without its motives being questioned.

While waiting for my feast mates, I wandered through the yard picking stray flowers and leaves for a small arrangement. Wow. I was surprised to find so much available - feverfew, honeysuckle, a lone Shasta daisy, winter jasmine, borage (!), primrose, heather, hellebore, plus lots of colorful fall foliage still hanging on. I was also able to harvest sage, thyme, marjoram, rosemary, and parsley for cooking purposes. Such a mild winter so far. I've only had 2 frosts, neither really a killing frost. Many of my perennials are putting on new growth, not sure how that's going to pan out...

My garden is the same- only two very light frosts that basically only made the neighbors roof white, not sure if my plants even noticed. I even have annual bidens blooming, hydrangeas, a rose just finished, and my alstroemeria looks like it is June!I love being able to just go outside and get Rosemary, chives, and mint. Tropical things in my porch planters are still there, although a bit bedraggled. I mowed the lawn last week...

Two roses and one big Knockout Rose bush are still defiantly putting out blooms. Just a very few blooms, but there they are: almost December Roses.
