My daughter has been receiving deliveries like she is a retail business.

She asked if she could use one of my winter sowing containers I picked up at the end of season sales. My daughter is not like her mom this kid has absolute zero interest in any thing that involves dirt.Imagine my excitement. You know what I was thinkin. Well I was wrong.

This is.how she used my new plant container.

Ha, well she is a sweetie to do that for them, and I'm sure they appreciate it.
Maybe she will take to gardening later on. I tried to get my girls interested early. It never worked, but now one has started gardening in her 40's! I'm thrilled, and take her plants whenever we visit. Smiling

Yes they appreciate the snacks because they visit even when we do not have a delivery. She fills it in the morning and when she comes home from work. Hilarious!

I worked for the USPS for several years and we were not allowed to take gifts from patrons. It was something to do with being a civil service employee.

That said, if anybody gave us chocolates, cookies, etc., I took them anyway because I'm such a deviant. I also took and brought several seedlings, houseplants, and other gardening items to people I got to know.

One time my boss (the Postmistress--no lie, that was her title) even took a kitten, so...yeah. lol

I have heard the postal employees are not allowed to accept anything over 20.00. I do not know if it is true but I do give my postal guy 20.00 every year. He has been my mail man for over 30 yrs. He never refused. Rolling on the floor laughing

He was the reason my friend survived one year. I was out of town and he fell down the steps he got to the garage and was able to get a broom handle up to push the automatic garage door button and he found him on the floor in the garage and called for help.

The Nutcracker snack story continues. My daughter is sick but she is still putting the snacks out every morning. She is off until NY and still getting deliveries.

She was making some toast and all we had was hamburger buns. She decided to take the basket out while she waited for her toast.

The FedEx delivery lady knocked on the door. She was standing there with the bread in her hand and asked if we were making sandwiches. Confused She is one of the delivery people I noticed was coming down the driveway even when she had nothing to deliver. I told her no but if she wanted me to make her a sandwich I had left over Christmas Ham and Roast Beef she said the roast beef sounded good. I made the sandwich and talked about her under my breath. Took it out to her she thanked me and left.

I closed the door and went upstairs and told my daughter about it she then told me what she thought she had done. I thought the greedy lady had brought bread and was pushing for more than a bag of chips. Rolling on the floor laughing
