Each year I buy a bag of mixed gladiolus and generally plant them in bare spots because they come up quickly and look nice. I stagger my plantings then with whatever's left in late July I put them all in a big pot together for one last hurrah of blooms.

Last year one of the "mixed" bulbs was this rich coral to salmon color (see picture).

Bu the end of the season the bulb head been split open (I'm guessing due to burrowing critters since the TNR cats on my property have been seen chasing them) so I did not get to keep it.

I'm wondering for other people who grow gladiolus--where do you get your corms? If I could find a single variety like this I would possibly buy a whole bag of them.

I use Brent and Becky's. They've a number of glads in their summer catalog.
Nothing that's been done can ever be changed.

You can try looking for hardy glads. It looks like one I had at my old house It was one I did not have to dig up and store. Came back every year.
