Sauerkraut for Christmas

I can't talk of cabbage without mentioning sauerkraut, and I can't think of sauerkraut without remembering the Christmas I gave it all away.

Even though Sharon is no longer with us, I keep finding her writing and photos on our site. I love them! She had such a great writing style filled with humor and she really educated us in so many different ways.

I love sauerkraut, so I will try to make some colorful sauerkraut just like she helped make. If I'm lucky I can use my own home grown cabbages, onions and carrots. I'm so happy that her contributions are all still here for those who find them later.

As a relatively new member of this forum family, I found this article while bouting with one of my restless nights.
This lady has a way with her writings that touches me deeply. It's an amazing thing to be able to relate with her upbringing while never knowing her. She is still impacting us, even today.
I have successfully started a beautiful pink Rose of Sharon cutting this year that now has a name in my garden: the Sharon of NGA.
