I have been waiting since this past christmas to be able to join the grow light club. My youngest son usually gets me what I ask for (within reason) x-mas, b-day, mothersday. Last year before x-mas I showed him some pictures of shelves with plants & lights. I asked if he could build me something like what I showed him. He is very talented with building things imagine my surprise when i opened up a bran new 5 shelf metal shelving unit x-mas day. He never even noticed the grow lights that were in the pictures i had shown him. Oh well, it was my fault for not making it clear. I finally got a couple 4' shop lights off craigslist near my home. We bought 1 set of florescent bulbs and hope to get the other ones soon our financal citation is very tight (fixed) so extra stuff can be difficult ya know you anyway, its a work in progress.

It. Actually worked pretty good. Just have to keep plants watered and keep rotating them. Turn them off about 9 or 10. Turn on the light about 8 am and their good to go.

@Agoo, you can plug the lights into an inexpensive mechanical timer to automate that part of your setup.
