I made two huge scores on frost-resistant pots recently...such that it will be a good while before I need more. So, not to be terribly lazy, I wonder if there are any plants/groups within certain preferences that can be left out all year and withstand winter only to flourish the following season?
Basically, I would prefer to avoid plants in which all or most parts are highly toxic, invasive, or are connected to other similar problems.
I would prefer plants which are edible and/or which are huge draws for insect pollinators, hummingbirds, etc.
So, early considerations are many of the standard culinary herbs. But I am curious to hear other suggestions. Thoughts?
BTW, it gets very hot and humid here in the summers and long periods with no rain are possible.
