Ha ha, thanks! I use Facebook for my political feeds and it has been an absolutely sh*t-show since the election (from all sides). I love coming over to this site for a break from the craziness, to admire beautiful plants, follow courteous discussions, and get an occasional chuckle. Garden on!

And, Yup, I do the same thing, Deb. My brother, his daughter, and my cousin have all lost their minds. So much nastiness from all sides. Give me pretty flowers to preserve my sanity! And the company of the lovely, helpful, polite people we find here. This place is a wonderful refuge.

From reading both of your signature phrases, I feel a kinship. Woofie, love your statement that some of your relatives have 'all lost their minds' - I feel the same about some of my immediate friends and relatives. So weird when one knows and loves them despite their (to me) quirkiness. Xeramtheum, your listen/silent quote resonates as well. My goal this year is to not post anything derogatory and instead try to engage in rational and courteous discussions. A hard row to hoe as it turns out. But trying.

Yup, people on both sides have totally lost their minds on Facebook lately. I've 'had' to log on lately to see if anyone remembered my birthday. Guess now I should go back and issue a blanket-type 'thank you'.

I also go to gardening sites on FB but those are very specific. Much nicer and friendlier here.

Now if I can only learn to be more succinct. Good intentions and all.
