Thread OP

Can Saturn (Peento) peaches be grown in the Daytona beach area? I have not found any trees for sale around here. Only find them online and the information regarding chilling hours required seems to be different in some Nursery sites that sell the small trees.
If you are growing them can you let me know if the produce fruit and if so where the trees can be purchased locally or online.

Thank you

Hi Rich, Welcome!

My husband and I lived in Daytona Beach for 45 years but I never tried growing Saturn Peach (Prunus persica 'Saturn') or any other peaches for that matter. Green Grin!

This page gives some information on peach and nectarine varieties for Florida: http://edis.ifas.ufl.edu/mg374

According to this article, Peach (Prunus persica 'Flordaprince') does well, even as far south as Palm Beach! http://floridagardener.com/dnn...

Good luck with your endeavor and I hope you have great success for yummy peaches!
