I know there was a thread in one of the forums, but I don't think it was an ID thread, about ZZ plants, Zamioculcas zamiifolia. I have tried every way I can think of to find it but no luck. If I search on the whole site, garden.org, I get no hits at all. There are a few in the database but I'm not interested in the database. I think Tarev has commented on the thread I'm thinking of and I suppose I could go and search through all her responses but that seems ridiculous. If I add plant to ZZ I get a lot of hits but it's pretty clear the hits are for the word plant and not ZZ. Any advice?

I went to ZZ Plant (Zamioculcas zamiifolia) in the database and scrolled all the way to the bottom where there is a list of threads discussing the ZZ Plant; maybe you can find it there?

edited to add: Look under where it says Discussion threads about this plant.

I wonder why that one doesn't show up? Maybe not every thread is listed at the DB entry? I guess that's a question for @Dave.

And that is odd, because there is a link to the database entry in that thread in this post: https://garden.org/thread/view...

My understanding is that the current system matches on botanical and cultivar name only. So if that information isn't in the thread, the thread won't show up in the plant entry. I've suggested to Dave in a separate thread (The thread "Database photos and Discussion Threads" in Site Talk forum) that threads with database photos could be linked back to the database entry as well.

Australis is correct and eventually I will overhaul how we link threads to plants.

So, if someone were to go into that thread and just include the botanical name in the text somewhere, it would show up in the database links? Is that correct?

Thank you Evan, that is the thread I was looking for. I knew it was in here somewhere and that Tarev had either started it or contributed to it. I just wanted to put in a pic of my ZZ because it was almost dead last year and now it is doing so well.
