I'd love to hear from gardeners who grow this small native tree regarding the amount of shade it will tolerate and still bloom. My location is central Arkansas.

Suggestions or advice appreciated.

Down here... Makes a nice shade garden plant.... Maybe plant in 'open woods'.
I can't say that I've ever seen them get too much shade to bloom.



Yellow ones and red ones.... I've seen crosses.... Those are nice.

Mine is blooming right now, it is in what I would call shade. Maybe a little dappled light. Im not saying it wouldnt grow faster with sun, but Ive got what Ive got. Hummers love it.
