My hose doesn't have enough pressure to make the blue nozzle that came with my Dramm watering wand work properly. It is supposed to be a nice soft shower, but the water just comes out of it like a hose in a fast, uneven dousing. I see many of them on Amazon to replace them. Can someone please guide me into how many GPMs I need? That what they seem to advertise by: 8 GPM 11 GPM etc. IDK which to get. I have "Ask Amazon" what the GPM is on my particular mdel. at east that will give me a direction to go? Can anyone shed some light on this? TIA I tip my hat to you.

It seems what you need to know is how much pressure you have coming from your faucet? Then you can select which wand would work.

Oh, I see they also sell the by the number of holes. So would 1000 holes be more pressure needed than one with 500 holes?? Confused D'Oh!

Thanks @Seedfork. IDK the pressure coming off my hose. It is a 50 ft expanding hose connected to a faucet extension that is run by a 100 ft hose that stretches all the way around the perimeter of my yard to reach to the very back. There is no faucet back there. But the pressure that comes out of those how with the nozzle off is great. It just isn't strong enough to push through all the holes. So maybe less holes?? Confused

You probably need to know the water pressure measured in PSI at the end of your hose where you want to attach the wand.

You might not have enough pressure for any of them to work properly! It is not only the number of holes but the size of the holes in the wand that will matter. Having a smaller hose will increase the pressure, but it will also reduce the volume of water going through it.

Are you on city water or well?

Interesting gauge! I have City water. The pressure is good until i use the nozzle. The wand is useful but not without the nozzle. I found a Dramm nozzle for reduced water pressure area . I think i will try that. I'll let you know. Thanks

Cheryl, when I go to their site http://www.dramm.com/html/main...
a small grey interactive box comes up in the lower right hand corner for questions, also this number is listed for the Dramm Corp 920-684-0227

Cheryl, i found i could not use my expandable hose in the summer when I watered outside, ESPECIALLY when connected to 100 feet of other hose. There was not enough water pressure to keep the hose "expanded" and then make a nozzle of any kind work. I live in the country and it is just our own well and pump. It works great in the greenhouse where I have a 200 gallon water tank with a pump on that. I can adjust the pressure of the water coming out of the pump and through the hose/nozzle. So, I just keep my expandable hose in the greenhouse.

Thanks All. The hose is fine. It expands, and the pressure is great without the nozzle on it. The flow is strong and water's well but is a little too strong. It needs a nozzle or it is just a plain hose flow. IDK what nozzle came with the wand. If I knew that, I would know what to go with. But I am going to try the Dramm plastic reduced water pressure nozzle. I will return it if it doesn't work
