@Bonehead : Hello Debbie! I just read your comment about being surprised to get a Thread notification for the other Thread about the Raffle that's not a Raffle. I was interested in your comments, because I also wondered why it had appeared in my Thread Watcher column. I don't mind, but was curious .
Then I came back to the Thread I had started and saw your comment.
"Nora, I hope you gave away your acorns out of the goodness of your heart and not because the 'rules' state that only US members can win. Surely willing an intangible prize can apply to anyone, right?" (Sorry, I haven't yet figured out how to get a box around someone else's words. I think it has something to do with "Quote" at the bottom, tried it once, unsuccessfully.)
I've been busy in the garden at last and haven't been back to this thread.
In answer to your question, - I was happy to contribute to the fun of the Raffle and didn't care if I won or not, but the anticipation was great, and the video of Dave and family is always priceless.
I was so excited when I won, and wanted to share those 50 acorns with some friends I've made in this incredible organization. It was just so neat to be part of it all.
My sister and nieces live in Washington and Vermont. I'm eager for them to join up so that if I won anything else, I could give them plants. When they visit my gardens here, they can't take anything back over the border.
Looking forward to the results of this and future "Un-Raffles".
Cheers, Nora
