Letters to the Editor

By Sharon

A successful site is made by the interest and the strength of its members. From time to time I receive from our members letters that are worthy of sharing. Today's letter is from Brenda Savage and on this Thanksgiving Day I'd like to share it with you.

It has meant more to us than we could ever express to watch our friends encourage us and be by our side through the last couple of years. Some were vocal, and some stood silently, and all were appreciated.

To see so many come to our new garden gives more satisfaction than any paycheck ever could. To us, it means that you approve of the job that we've done over the last 11 years and that you believe in, and want to grow with, us. To hear of the wonderful lifelong friendships that you have made, and all of the other ways that the community has enriched your lives means the most to us. We hear these stories and turn to each other and say "That's what it is all about". We could not be more thankful.

We know the truth- *you* are what make this community. You aren't numbers, you are people: friends, relatives, neighbors. It is a privilege and an honor to serve you, and we are so thankful that you've given us the opportunity to do so.

Many thanks,
Dave, Trish, and the family

I am a strong believer in the simple fact is that what matters in this life is how we treat others. I think that's what living is all about. Not what I've done in my life but how I've treated others. ~~ Sharon Brown
