I've had a guava tree for 2-3 yrs now. Last year I had a lot of guavas, they looked big and beautiful, but also had worms in them . I want to eat some and even juice some the next time I have I have some.

Is there a way to keep them from getting worms?

Are they worms or caterpillars? Just asking for clarification because some people use the term interchangeably, but how you would treat for them might be different.
