Good questions--
there is a thread in site talk that may have some answers for you
The thread "Encourage labeling for landscape photos?" in
Site Talk forum
As far as I know, yes, they are stored separately--in the landscape photos area--but when the plants are 'tagged' they do show up in the DB with the tagged plant(s). There, I think the goal is to provide examples of particular plants in various combinations, environments, what have you. I know that when I am thinking about adding a plant, I really like to see photos of it in other people's gardens to get ideas of how it might work or not work, as the case may be, for me...
When there are no plants 'tagged', then the photo just hangs out in the landscape photo area--it may show up in the random landscape photo thingy and they are also linked in the submitting member's profile. So, once they are displaced off the 'front page' by the addition of new photos, they are still there just not as accessible...I'm not really sure what the goal is there
maybe just ever-changing 'eye candy'?
beautiful delphs
btw!
