If you are in or near the NE Dallas/Garland area on Saturday, May 6th, 2017, Fresh Connections Community Garden in Garland is having a plant sale from 9:00am-12:00pm. Proceeds benefit the garden and the associated food bank run through Buckingham United Methodist Church.

The garden is located behind the church at 1212 W. Buckingham Rd, Garland, TX 75044.

It is my honor to once again be able to send plants to their sale. There will be many other plants offered at the sale, but all items on this donation list are from my garden including 60 named Iris, mostly Tall Bearded; 12 no ID Iris; 13 Daylilies, hoping to add more as they send up confirmation stalks; and some Parrot Glad bulbs. Some quantities will be posted tomorrow, and the numbers will be updated as more of the plants are processed.

The garden folks have all the plants, rhizomes, and fans in their hands. Weather is going to be fine-fine in the morning. I've spread word far and wide. Now it is fingers crossed and prayers sent for a quantity turnout and enough funding for the drip irrigation system the garden needs so badly.

I hope you had a wonderful plant sale yesterday, unfortunately I could not join the fun, but got the opportunity to go to our Fort Worth Cactus and Succulent Plant Sale and Show today in Fort Worth Botanical Garden and found few cuties...

Hi, Abbey and Nanette.

My sister and I got there about 20 minutes before 'start' time to watch the volunteers set up; then we stayed for the first hour or so for me to answer questions the buyers might have about the Iris or Daylilies I sent to the sale--and there were a bunch of questions! The garden folks don't have an exact take yet, but all of them believe they are close to or at their goal, now have the funds to put in a drip irrigation system, and have enough to meet the remainder of their annual budget.
