What a beautiful flower! It almost makes me want to overlook the problems with borers and weeds that have plagued my iris gardens in the past and try again. Is Yaquina Blue one of the more challenging to keep alive?

Sorry I didn't get back to you sooner. Yaquina Blue is growing about average for s, no problems, but not as explosive in growth like Afternoon Delight, which was in it's place the prior year. The misses and I saw this cultivar for the first time at Napa country Iris, and it was the most impressionable Iris during our visit. As we drove away to go home, we immediately started talking about it, and by the time we got home, I was on-line with the Napa web-site and adding it to our order. It lived up to it's beauty and put on a spectacular show. It's well worth owning and certainly deserved the Dykes medal Honor!

Carol ~ This is my first year with Yaquina Blue, and it has bloomed voluptuously! I was more than pleasantly surprised. I will put it in the database in a while.
