@Michelezie - this is a lovely full bush picture - a beautiful soft pink but are you sure it is 'Barbra Steisand'?

Firstly, the colour seems wrong and secondly, the shape. Any one else think this is mislabelled?

Michelezie's Rose Bush sure is beautiful! I don't know which one it is but I don't think it's the Hybrid Tea Rose, Rosa 'Barbra Streisand'.

Thank you! My mom purchased the plant as a gift for me. It's my first rose plant. She told me it was a 'Barbra Streisand' I don't have the tags anymore so I can't confirm 100%. The blooms start a deeper magenta and turn lighter. Here's another picture, it's the last bloom of the season and it was getting cold so it's not the best looking rose. Any thoughts on what it might be if it's not Barbra Streisand?

Hi Michele - first: a belated Welcome!

I could very well be mistaken! I do not grow 'Barbra Streisand' (yet) Big Grin so my opinion is only based on photos that I have seen and now that you mention that the colour, I really don't know.
Maybe @zuzu, Zuzu who grows this rose could comment.

There are a lot more photos on HMF - http://www.helpmefind.com/gard...
Have a look, you would be the better judge having seeing the blooms in all stages.

Also come and join us on the rose forum - we would love to see more of your roses https://garden.org/forums/view...

You know, it actually could be Barbra Streisand. The color's off, but if you look at the photos in our database, you'll see that many of them "skew pink." Skiekitty's photo looks the most like the true color.

Rose (Rosa 'Barbra Streisand')

The rose starts out a medium lavender and ages to a paler lavender. The photo in question (Michele's top photo) probably was taken in bright sun and didn't have the right blue balance. The correct blue balance can be seen in Michele's second photo. Compare the foliage colors in the two pictures.

As for the shape of the rose bush, this is the right shape. I really don't know why Barbra Streisand is classified as a hybrid tea. It rarely produces the high-centered "exhibition" blooms that are so common in modern hybrid teas, and it often blooms in clusters. It's actually a grandiflora, I suppose.

Welcome to NGA, Michele. In short, you may have a Barbra Streisand rose, and you may have something else. In either case, it's a lovely rose bush and looks quite healthy, so you're doing remarkably well for a novice gardener.

So....I found the tag for this rose buried in the dirt, it is actually Memorial Day. How do I get this picture to the right spot?? Sorry for mis-posting!
