I was surprised to find in a long lived planting of Queen of the Night a distinct black (dk purple) and white variegated tulip! It is a beauty and very similar to the Rembrandt's Favorite tulip which is a sport of Hans Anrud I find out from google. Has anyone else found one of these? This is the only kind of tulips I have ever planted in this area.

Would love to see a pic!
There is unfortunately also a possibility that what your seeing is a result of the tulip breaking virus, so do be sure to use a good garden hygiene when handling this tulip.
