I just came across a post on Facebook by Marco show 'Mitchell's Gold'. Dead ringer for 'Michael's Golden'.

Could this be why we could never find information on 'Michael's Golden'? It some how had a name change?

Kind of wonder why it got changed to "Michael's" when the person who introduced it isn't even named Michael but is named Mitchell. Make me think the correct name should be Mitchell... but who knows?

I agree with Bev if it is the same semp we should give it its proper name Mitchell's Golden...

I didn't know there was an issue with it either Horsts site shows Mitchell's Gold but no pics.

Dirt, I got it from North Hills Nursery years ago.

Did we ever come to any conclusion on this name? Do you think we all really have 'Mitchell's Gold'?

After going over all the site references for cultivars, and sites with photos, I believe 'Michael's Golden' is the same semp as 'Mitchell's Gold'.

@JungleShadows what are your thoughts on this? The seasonal coloring matches from one site to our database photos. Type/form and size also match.
I am thinking we should change the database name to 'Mitchell's Gold' and add 'Also sold as'.
Every ones thought on this would be helpful.

I agree with you Lynn, and also think we should change the name in the database and add "also sold as".
