I have mine in the dining room, which is a dimly lit Northern facing room. Mine isn't really growing much, though I did repot it and maybe I made it unhappy.

Can you suggest anything I could do to help this plant flourish? It was a gift and didn't come with any instructions.

I wish I could offer advice on this beautiful fern but I've never had luck growing any fern indoors. My Bear's Paw Fern is in a container but it stays outside year round in very bright light beneath the shade of oak trees. I do know that they are slow growers when in containers. That photo in our database is from two years ago and this is what the plant looks like now:

Bear Paw's Fern a/k/a Cabbage Palm Fern (Phlebodium aureum) is a native here in Florida and we have it growing on palm trees on our property:
~ I'm an old gal who still loves playing in the dirt!
