Sister ! Just got first brest cancer chemo treatment, a few days ago.
I feel good ! Because, i just got her garden sprayed and weeded. Which they told her not to do. :thumbsup:

Regarding gardens and weeds ... here in Florida, every day could be called "Get your garden weeded day". I truly think they party and multiply overnight!

That was really nice of you to take care of her garden for her.

I did a fair amount of weeding my jungle on Sunday; managed to unearth a couple of buried Clematis that I wasn't sure were even still there! Got a helper coming tomorrow to work on the rest, so I'm both ahead of schedule and behind schedule. Appropriate, since lately I'm not sure if I'm coming or going!

At 93 degrees the weeds can bake for all I care. Last week I weeded for 21 hours in one garden, then used Preen and several bags of mulch. When we get down to 65 I'll return to weeding though not much to be done.

She's strong willed. She's like me, when, i was in an accident ! More concerned about getting back to work, than anything !!! Silly, huh !!!
She's head waitress at local restaurant, hear in Fresno.
AND ! Jan is 69.
Jan's kind of hard-headed ! Like us Becker's are. Butt !!! Between, doctors and myself, we got her eating better ! She, realizes, the proper diet, helps !!!

I see that this thread is a year old. Here's hoping that all is well with @ Philipwonel, Philip's sister.

I think @Deb is right! June 13th is a little late to be thinking about getting started weeding., lol!

Weeding can be tiresome, but it helps me relax and get my mind off any troubles I may have. And then I step back to see what I have accomplished.

I watched the video today of Dave weeding with the CobraHead mini-tool that is one of the prizes in the June NARR. What a great tool!

Her cancer is all gone. She's been back to work, a couple months now.
Her 71th, birthday this year, she's finally going to officially retire ! But ! Not ? She's a work-a-holick, that's all I can figure !?!?

Funny how different tools are right or wrong depending on our individual styles. I don't care for the cobrahead and have taken mine out of my tool bucket.
