Thread OP

I decided on a whim to try my hand at making a fairy garden. There is so much drama going on in the world today that we need a little world to escape in.
So I bought a few things including a couple of fairies and a pixi.
I bought real plants as I am thinking it should be a natural environment.I am wonder a few things.
Is there any place to buy fairies that have a bit more whimsy and less commercial plastic appearance?
How do you keep pieces in place if you are moving the garden? The smaller pieces have wire to set in the soil. The arches do not.
As for caring for the garden. Do you water just as if the gard n were outdoors or differently?

Very cute!

Hi & welcome. Completely adorable! The little tree is amazing! Is it a Coleus?

If you can think of it, someone is probably selling it, online if not at a store near you.

If your pot does not have a drain hole, you might want to water with a squirt bottle on spray (not squirt/stream) setting, so you can moisten across the surface without risking adding so much water that it puddles at the bottom, more than the soil can absorb. That can make plants ill.

As plants grow, you'll probably trim some, move decorations around, maybe remove a plant or add new plants, kind of like in a full-size garden. :+)

I have been facinated with fairies . I have been taken out of work due to my fibromyalgia.I needed something to do. All my materials I collected myself, except for the fake flowers and butterfly.

Welcome to the site, if you could give us an approximate idea where the gardens will be located, that would help, you can fill in the info on your profile.
