Now that we are into hurricane season, I thought I'd start a weather thread. Hopefully it won't grow too long Whistling

Feel like I need some plans for building an ark. We have been getting a lot of rain lately...especially the last 2 days or so. Guess it's thanks to Cindy. Interesting last night...got my very first robo weather call. Seems a tornado was headed this way Blinking Didn't happen thank goodness, but nice to know "the system" is in place and works. To be totally honest, I wasn't ALL that worried as the dogs were not in the least bit antsy or nervous. Usually when a storm is here or close they are in glued to Momma's heels mode. I did however, grab my purse adding a few things so I would have it with me should the dogs and I need to take shelter in the bathroom.
Each cloud has a silver lineing if only you look for it.

Good to know the robo call system worked.

I wish we had the robo call system here! Last year when Matthew passed by it got quite scary. We prepared ahead of time and boarded up but then when they changed it to a higher category and expected it to do major damage, it was kinda nerve-racking! We have so many huge oak and maple trees that I was really concerned we'd have one through the roof. Of course the storm ended up farther off shore from us and we only had a few branches down thank goodness! I stayed up all night, hunkered down in the downstairs bathroom with pillows, blankets, weather radio, cell phone, lap top and the dog! My husband didn't have any qualms about the storm at all and slept upstairs in our bedroom. I sure hope we have a mild storm season this year!
