I'm working on scanning and digitizing our old National Gardening magazines and came across this cool ad for the NGA forum on Compuserve. This was from the Spring 1992 edition. NGA has been serving gardeners online since before the internet was in homes!

That's quite a blast from the past, Dave!

I fondly (well, sort of) remember using Compuserve, dial-up, and a program called Tapcis that would dial up a forum on Compuserve, download new messages, and then log off (being in the days where there was no "unlimited" phone service).

We've come a long, LONG way since then

I don't miss dial up in any of it's forms one bit.

Or life before Windows, when you had to exit one site to get to another.

oh - I remember Compuserve!
