I've never been much of a lily fan because of their stiff unattractive (to me) foliage. What is the other greenery in there as well? I'd love to see the sequel to this - when the lilies and others bloom. Peaceful photo.
I want to live in a world where the chicken can cross the road without its motives being questioned.

The other things are Wild Sensitive Plant (sensitive partridge pea) which attracts bumblebees, and I don't know what the pointy-leaved thing is yet. I'll know once it blooms and I ask on the ID forum.

I agree with you about lily foliage. But I love the flowers, especially the ones with fragrance. One of the things I learned is that although they love sun and heat (to an extent), they like "to keep their feet cool." So I've been experimenting with planting things around their "feet" to see how it goes.

So far, this little area seems to be doing well. I'll be sure to post the sequel!
