Sharlene, Beautiful banner. Lilacs won't grow in our zones and I miss their fragrance, however, in May we took a trip to visit our son in Illinois and his lilacs were in bloom. I enjoyed their fragrance for several days. Lovey dubby

What a fine macro shot. Never would have guessed it was a lilac. I'll be scrutinizing them more closely next year. They actually have a Lilac Festival in Lombard Illinois every year with a very interesting Lilac history and connection to Nancy France.

Jean, Lilacs do have a lovely fragrance! It's a pity they don't bloom longer!
