I have a mixture of raised and permanent beds, and having always done vining plants in-ground in the past, I'm baffled as to how to attack them in the permanent bed setting. Peas are the primary quandary-- we LOVE them, and I usually plant several rows of them, two rows to a cattle panel. I can't see how to convert this kind of volume over to permanent beds, where you can't go down the middle to pick, so you can only do one row per bed...maybe two, one on each side of the bed, but wasting the interior space.
I'm sure I'm just not being imaginative enough, but right now this has me stumped. If anything I want to increase our pea production, not decrease, but currently I'm not sure how to even maintain current levels. Ideas?
