This was as close a subject area as I could find. Found this nasty looking thing in a bag of compost. Contacted Kellogg immediately and left a message. They called me back and said they would give me a refund.

Copy of the email and pictures I just sent:
Hi Ms Sanchez

Attached are the pictures of the object along with the receipt as you requested. As I said on the phone, I was more concerned about the fact that something like this could make it's way into the bag of compost. The picture of the object with the bag shows the approximate position and location where I found it inside the bag. It was discovered it as I was stacking 5 bags of compost in my shed after purchasing them from Town Center Hardware (Ace) in Lake Forest Park. The "needle" end poked through the bag and scraped my hand. At first it looked like a stick, but as I worked it out of the bag, I was alarmed at what I found. Fortunately, it did not pierce the skin and made only a superficial scratch on the right underside of my left hand.

Thank you for your attention to this matter.

It doesn't look like any normal syringe. Have you told the company?

It is a dart gun syringe used for tranquilizing animals or administering other drugs.
