I posted three photos to the database this morning but I never received notice that a acorn was added to my basket Smiling

I should have viewed my basket prior to posting - just wondering if something has recently changed that I did not read about.

Stewert, you can double check by clicking on the bell up at the top right of your screen. Then look at past messages. Sometimes you don't see them when it happens, but you should see 3 acorns for the recent pics.

From this page: https://garden.org/special/aco...

You get an acorn for each photo you post to each specific gallery of each plant.
So if you post 3 photos of a "Bloom" of a particular plant, you get one acorn.
But if you post 1 photo of a bloom, one photo of the leaves, one photo of the trunk, one photo of the seeds, you would get one acorn for each of them.

In this case, you posted three bloom photos of Dragonfruit (Selenicereus monacanthus) and got one acorn for the first photo.

Thanks for the clarification Dave. Thumbs up

I just thought it was strange that I did not get the notice that I had received an acorn

Stewart, did you click the bell and look at the past messages. I'm betting it's there, but you blinked or looked way and missed it.

Yes, if you click on the little bell there, you'll see that when you submitted the image and it was given a number in the database, you got a message saying that and announcing you received an acorn. For example

Thumb of 2017-08-04/Baja_Costero/375f61

In the case when you have already submitted an image of a plant in that same category, you will get the same message minus the part about the acorn.

Thumb of 2017-08-04/Baja_Costero/c06425

And all acorns aside, that is a tremendous set of photos, Stewart. I like the way you got the timing perfect on the opening of the flower, before and after only half an hour apart. Thumbs up

You did get the notification, just missed it. Check your past system messages and you'll see them.

@Baja_Costero Thanks for guiding me to the location of the "You received an acorn" - NOW I see it Rolling on the floor laughing

The first bloom photo was at 7:00 pm last night, where the others were taken at 7:30 am this morning. I have multiple shots through out the night but they are too dark to post.

Now our little guy is wilting away Thumbs down But to see the growth spurt over the last few days (and seeing the bloom) was amazing.

They are amazing plants to watch bloom. When we lived in the islands, we often had a little party while watching the blooms open.
