I am new, and trying to figure out how to reply to a reply someone left on my thread. I would like to thank them for their feedback and also add a requested additional picture to aid them helping me identify a plant.

Welcome to NGA. For me, my initial confusion was terminology, like what is a thread vs a post vs a forum.

So Right now you and I are 'chatting' on the Site Talk Forum where you posted the thread about replying to a reply. I'm posting (writing) a reply.

Everything kinda goes in order. Wherever you were (which thread), just go to the bottom and post (write) a reply. Hope I'm not confusing you. Think I've just confused myself.

Within your post, if you want to mention someone by username, use the @ symbol and then the person's screen name (no spaces). They'll get a system message telling them that you mentioned them in a post.

I'm now going to make sure what I'm telling you actually works.
