@dave,
I think that a useful addition to landscape photos would be a place to add the location of the photo, as is done for database photos. Would that be feasible?

Carol, I agree. I also think it would be even more helpful to encourage submitters to begin a comment about their landscape photo - where it was taken, what time of year, sun/shade exposure, etc. That not only is helpful to folks admiring the photos, but also might start a conversation to gain even more information. I really do enjoy the landscape photos and would like to see this feature expanded, it is so useful to see plants in situ rather than just a close-up of an individual bloom.

I agree that would be nice but it's not feasible to be added without some significant reworking. The landscape photos were not programmed to have captions/location/text fields like the individual database photo entries were. But this is something I'll keep in mind for a future time.

Dave, perhaps you could just add a little ditty when a person first opens the 'add a landscape photo' and suggest they also include a comment with info re location, siting, private or public garden, etc. I know you have said many people simply ignore these things, but for the few who do, it would certainly be helpful. If more landscape photos also had associated comments, perhaps that would encourage folks to add them.
