Nice harvest Caroline! I've taken my cuttings and finished collecting seeds. Brought one begonia basket into the greenhouse yesterday and set up the heater. I'm harvesting Tomatoes every few days but they're in the GH. Fed birds along the river yesterday and stopped at the Dean House to have a look at the garden. Frost last night.

I cut off the sweet potato vine to make cuttings, but left the begonia baskets on the back porch. Will dig out the tubers when the plants blacken.

Dean House garden looks great at this time of year. I need to make a point of visiting the special gardens in Calgary.

There was frost here on the first two days of September - a month early! - and then the weather swung into hot and dry, like our summer should have been (it was cool and wet). It's crazy. If this climate change keeps up, I'll be sun-bathing at Christmas and snow-shoeing on Canada Day. Did someone move Ontario to Australia and not tell me?

I heard about your strange summer out east. Ours was the hottest and smokiest on record.
Also I heard on the news last week that the fire that struck Fort Mac last year is actually still burning. Right through winter, amazing.
