Salvias Celebrating Gardening: 2015
Sheri's healing flower garden changes every 2 or 3 years due to heat and humidity.

Some perennials that are said to grow here on the labels and online just do not survive here
due to heat and humidity...

I have a flower bed well drained over half of it where the salvias and butterfly bushes are located
and the other section has clematis and daylilys which seem to like more moisture
from me watering them or nature raining on them.

A person just starting to learn with a new flowerbed...has to learn through those of us on this site or a friend or by experience...

which perennial likes a half day sun and which one likes a dry area or a semi moist site...also they learn what to prune and when to prune...

In my area of zone 8b I prune March lst..my group 3 clematis and my salvias that are perennial.

Getting older and working in the flower garden is less stress in that I know
more about what I grow and how to garden and nurture those plants!

Some acts of nature I can not change such as too much rain this year...
so we buy more plants and wait till the next spring with excitement
to have visitors to our flower blooms and once again take my camera
with joy like a child each morning to Sheri's healing flower garden!

If I have posted the same picture below twice...well blame it on Lily my cat
who is sitting on the back of my neck ...12 lbs of cat !

Temperature has been with the heat index this past week 95 degrees in afternoons
and high humidity!

Wow Sherri!! Those pictures are absolutely amazing!! The Hummers are rockin it. The summer here in central Florida has been brutal. I have plenty of butterflies, but no Hummers,. I think I'm too close to town. Your pictures are very healing. Thank you Thank You! Thank You! Thank You!
