Hello! First off I was super excited to find this forum, secondly because Holy Sedum Batman! There are so many more varieties than I could have ever imagined!! And the majority of pictures I took this year were for the Painted Ladies and bees Smiling

The first sedum I have came with our house, I believe it is Neon:

The second sedum is one I transplanted from my sister's garden this spring, and will be dividing this next spring. First guess was Stardust, but it's not pure white.

Thanks in advance!

Hi Sara, so nice to meet you, and so very glad you found your way here to NGA. Hurray!
And a great big Welcome!

Your first photo does appear to be 'Neon'. It is such a lovely plant.
Stardust blooms can have a tinge of pink as the blooms mature.

Let me call for Julia to see what she thinks. @springcolor

My stardust has always be pure white. There seems to be two with the Stardust name.

Thank you Julia.
I see the photo you posted has the white petals and the pale pink center where the female parts are.

It's definitely not the 'Mongolian Stardust', the leaves are wrong.

Thanks @valleylynn and @springcolor!

It may remain a mystery for a while...my sister's gardens are relatively un-tended so I almost wonder if this isn't a cross-pollination? Thanks for taking a look!

I was wondering if it might be a seedling. I have a few of those through my garden.

A seedling? Sedum don't start out the same colors as they'll end up? I've only ever divided the Neon, and transplanted this one.

Might be a seedling that came from the other garden. Just a thought.

I'll keep a close eye on it next year and see if there's any differences. As it's getting cooler some of the stalks are turning red/pink. Not all, just some.
