When to lift Caladiums? in the Bulbs forum

This is the first year I have ever grown Caladiums. The forecast calls for 38ºF Saturday night. All of the Caladiums are still looking really great. At what point do I want to consider lifting them for the winter? Also, under what conditions should they be stored? And... Store in pots in soil or lose and mesh bags...or?

Always looking for interesting plants for pollinators and food! Bonus points for highly, and pleasantly scented plants.
