Opinion: A Few Good Trees

By Sharon

It's a good time to take a look at the bare bones of trees now that winter is upon most of us. That's about all we can see anyway since they aren't dressed in their leafy finery at the moment. Look out your window. How many trees can you see?

I am really into tree sources this winter, i dont have to look out the window, I know whats out there and its frightening.. I live in the inner city and my neighbors dont think twice about damaging a tree or cut tin one down. Neighbors next door cut the branches off one side of a tree so they could get that big bouncing thing for the kids to jump up and down! My landlord cut down a huge tree because the roots was damaging the pipes underneath the house. Maybe this is justified, but it got to be something else you can do.
So far this month I ordered about 15 trees, most of them Poplars to shade my Hosta garden. I cringe when i see the neighbors or the cable people start chopping on the trees.. I even join the Arbor Day Foundation so I could get trees at a minimum and they offer wonderful information about trees in your area. So far I have another fifteen or twenty. Most of these trees will be grown in pots, but just think i will always have a tree to plant.
Way yo go Sharon

Way to go, you too, Sylvia! A few good trees is what you need and sounds as if you have them.

I don't think I could bear to live where there were no trees, I couldn't survive if I couldn't see them, touch them and hear the rustle of their leaves.

More power to you, my friend!
