Thank you Teresa. Not sure which one you are referring to? The back (red) is a burning bush and front one is a gold pillar barberry(newly planted).

Must be the burning bush (I've grown them but they never looked like that) . . . I'm not looking at the photo right now. It reminded me of the leaves of 'Wine & Roses' Weigela (however you spell that word?). I like the looks of it in your photo as I recall.
